The global risk landscape has become increasingly complex; the World Economic Forum describes it as a “polycrisis,” in which multiple and often disparate risks are interacting to exacerbate the challenges facing organizations. The crises that do emerge – from conflicts to climatic events – often seem unpredictable. To adapt to and thrive in this environment, organizations must not just react to events but forecast and prepare for emerging risks.

Join AIRIP as our expert panel discusses the tools and techniques that organizations can use to identify and assess how the risk landscape is likely to evolve and where new crises may emerge. Panelists will include Karen Lauer (Amazon) and Pranoti Surve (Philip Morris International). The session will be moderated by Barnaby Fletcher (Control Risks).

If you have questions relevant to the topic, please feel free to submit them in advance to executivedirector@airip.org. The speakers will attempt to incorporate these questions into the discussion. Additionally, we will leave time for questions and comments submitted via the chat during the webinar.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

AIRIP’s 7th Annual Global Intelligence Forum
Modern Risk Intelligence: Strategies for Success
_________

June 11 - 13, 2024
Capital One Center, 1680 Capital One Dr., McLean, VA 22102

On behalf of the leadership team, Board of Directors, Education Committee and Staff, the Association of International Risk Intelligence Professionals (AIRIP) is thrilled to announce our 7th Annual Global Intelligence Forum.
The Forum will take place on Tuesday, June 11 - Thursday, June 13 at Capital One Center in McLean, Virginia - just outside of Washington, DC, and easily accessible by car directly off I-495 (Capitol Beltway) and just steps away from the Silver Line's McLean Metro Station.

If you are attending the Forum, plan on arriving by Tuesday, June 11 for a late afternoon registration and meet & greet. We will have sessions all-day Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13.

We are finalizing the program now and will share more information on the specific sessions and schedule soon.  The focus of this year's Forum is the growing prominence and impact of modern risk intelligence teams and the best practices these teams can adopt to ensure success within the wider business context. The Forum will provide high-value sessions to tackle fundamental questions about how intelligence professionals – from those starting their careers to more seasoned senior managers – can play a more impactful role in the success of their organizations.  Sessions will focus on the following themes:

  1. Crisis Management & Scenario Planning: The role of intelligence professionals in enhancing crisis leadership capacity across the organization as well as using scenario planning to support effective decision making.
  2. Demonstrating ROI: Best practices in developing impactful KPI’s, metrics, and case studies.
  3. DEI: Leveraging the ‘diversity dividend’ to drive innovation, productivity, and enhanced decision making.
  4. Leadership: Best practices in recruiting, retaining, and growing talent.
  5. Developing New Lines of Business: Opportunities and approaches for intelligence teams to diversify their offerings, reach new stakeholders, and meet their companies’ strategic goals.
  6. Leveraging Technology: Increasing productivity, enhancing risk assessments, and reducing costs by leveraging technology.

While we're still finalizing the agenda, here's a preview of what you can expect:
